This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.
Sneak Peak! Dress rehearsal. Let’s hope Audrey remembers to dance on Saturday. ;)
We were shocked Friday morning when we got the news that our friends Heidi & Steve’s son Jacob, just over 2 years old, passed away inexplicably in his crib in the night. The emotions we are experiencing-shock, horror, profound sadness, do not come close to how Heidi in particular is feeling. Jakee was all laughter and love. One of her friends, Christine described Jacob as having little hearts in his eyes. And truly, that is so apt. He was a little blond bundle of smiles who swayed with his shoulders when he walked. His sister Vivian is Audrey & Scarlett’s good friend, and we are making sure to see her lots. This journey for their family is just beginning, and we will support their family in whatever way we can for the foreseeable future. The preschool community is rallying around, and we are putting together meal schedule, groceries, laundry, playdates and I will be in charge of making sure Heidi has someone around every day when her family leaves. It’s powerful and devastating. I hope none of you ever experience this kind of shatter. I saw my friends yesterday and looking into Heidi’s face was like a mirror into her soul.
I am so profoundly thankful for the luck that has smiled down upon my own family. xo J.
